Dr Shaun Segal

Dr Shaun Segal graduated in 1997 with an MBBCH in Johannesburg, Dr Segal spent 2 years on a surgical rotation at the world renowned Baragwanath Hospital in Soweto, South Africa. Dr Segal went to England in 2000 and completed this surgical rotation. He also gained post graduate qualifications in General Practice and was awarded his FRACGP in 2005.
Since arriving in Australia in 2008, Dr Shaun Segal has worked almost exclusively in the field of skin cancer medicine and surgery. He has worked in numerous clinics within NSW , QLD and now WA and has treated thousands of patients with skin cancer. He has attained further qualifications from the University of Queensland in Skin Cancer Medicine and Surgery.
He has achieved he’s surgical fellowship from the Australian College of Cutaneous Oncology (ACCO).
Being an ACCO Fellow he is able to manage most skin cancers presenting to him, from diagnosis to treatment and long term follow up. He is able to manage skin cancers proficiently in difficult places like the ears, nose and lips, and larger tumors on most places of the body by using an array of reconstruction techniques including flaps and full thickness and partial thickness skin grafts.
He is passionate about specialised surgical techniques and performs margin-controlled surgery (slow Mohs procedures). Dr Segal prides himself with establishing excellent rapport with he’s patients and is a true skin cancer specialist in terms of diagnosing and treating all forms of skin cancers.
