Fees & Billing

Fee update – 1 September 2026

Please note: our fees will be increasing from Monday 1 September 2026. The fees listed below apply until 31 August 2026. Please ask our reception team if you have any questions.

At St Luke Medical Centre we believe you should know what an appointment costs before you book. We are a mixed billing practice, which means some patients are bulk billed and others pay a fee on the day and receive a Medicare rebate. Below you'll find our current fee schedule so there are no surprises at reception.

What is mixed billing?

Mixed billing means we bulk bill some patients and privately bill others. If you're privately billed, you pay the full consultation fee on the day and, if you're eligible for Medicare, a rebate is paid back to you (usually into your bank account within a day or two if your details are registered with Medicare). The "gap" shown in our fee table is the difference between our fee and the Medicare rebate. That's your actual out-of-pocket cost.

Who we bulk bill

Children under 16

Bulk billed weekdays and weekends, no concession card required.

Patients over 70

Bulk billed Monday–Friday with a current concession card, by some doctors.

If you're not sure whether you qualify, please ask our friendly reception team when you book. We're happy to help.

Please have your Medicare card (and concession card, if applicable) with you at your appointment.
